Terms of Use

The SmartResponse system may be used after completing registration, based on individual licenses with variying usage and data access rights.

Licenses are non-transferable and non-inheritable. License holders are obliged to report any changes in their personal data (telephone number, e-mail address, association, position, etc.) to the service provider by e-mail to info@smartresponse.eu within a period no longer than 8 calendar days.

Failure to report such changes will result in the immediate deletion of the registration and permanent, irreversible exclusion from the SmartResponse system, meaning that access to previously recorded data will also be lost.

In the event of non-payment of the license fee, system usage and access to stored data will be suspended until the outstanding balance has been settled.

Athletes

Athletes may be registered individually or collectively by their coaches. During registration, the SmartResponse system automatically assigns a unique personal identifier to each athlete, and the athlete’s data are recorded in a radio-frequency (RF) identification device provided to the athlete.

The RF identification device is the property and responsibility of the athlete. In the event of malfunction, the device will be replaced free of charge, provided that the fault was not caused by mechanical damage. In cases of loss or mechanical damage, replacement is possible only upon payment of the current replacement fee of the identifier.

The RF identifier is required for identification prior to performing exercises. Without it, the timing system cannot be used; however, previously recorded data and evaluations stored in the SmartResponse database can still be viewed via the web interface after logging in.

Coaches, Sports Managers

Coaches and sports managers have access to data and information corresponding in depth and content to the function specified during their registration. Accordingly, coaches have access to all data of the athletes they train; professional directors have access to the aggregated data of individual teams; while discipline-specific or federation-level managers have access to aggregated data by age group.

Player Scouts, Intermediaries

Within the framework of individual agreements, they are granted extensive research opportunities based on a wide range of criteria; however, during such research, no personally identifiable data is made available to them.

By submitting the RF identifier of a selected athlete, they may request the personal data necessary to establish contact with the athlete. Such data will only be released upon the written (e-mail) consent of the athlete or the athlete’s representative/guardian.

Sports Science Professionals

For professionals engaged in sports science research, as well as for lecturers and students of the coaching programs at the University of Physical Education, we provide free access and research opportunities regarding results and data recorded in the SmartResponse database.

During research, the anonymity of both athletes and their sports associations is ensured. In addition to research conducted within the database, we also provide the opportunity to publish studies, articles, and theses on our website.
